This wonderful villa is right in the center of Anacapri, few steps for every restaurant, shop, walk and
sight that matters in the Island.
Hidden in the narrow streets of Anacapri, on the Island of Capri, behind majestic green iron gates and 10 feet high limestone walls is this secluded property, which history dates back more than 150 years.
It is one of the few remaining historic villas of Capri. Once one enters the gates it is obvious that the villa possesses one of the most beautiful gardens on the island that features a striking stairway with a Capri style pergola covered with climbing bougainvillea leading to the entrance of the villa, situated at the top of the property from where there is a spectacular view of the Island and mediterranean sea below.
Despite its size (about 1500 square meters) the garden is a vibrant and abundant mix of different species of trees, plants, flowers, sculptures, fountains and picturesque spots. The property was modernised around 2002 by the then owner: the inspiration was to evoke a fresh and contemporary lifestyle setting while keeping the feeling of exclusivity and nobility that the old villa still maintained.
Ideally, he wanted to create an enchanting place in which to live while being surrounded by the charm of a historic home without feeling the
weight but rather feeling inspired by the history (Text by Francesco della Femina Design)

A unique landscape with high hills, dramatic views, stunning blue sea, where the man’s work has been grandiose.
Capri is an island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. The main town Capri that is located on the island shares the name and it has been a resort since the time of the Roman Republic.
Some of the main features of the island include the following:
- Marina Piccola (the little harbour)
- The Belvedere of Tragara (a high panoramic promenade lined with villas)
- The limestone crags called sea stacks that project above the sea (the Faraglioni)
- The town of Anacapri, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), and the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas.
Capri is part of the region of Campania, Province of Naples. The town of Capri is the island’s main population centre. The island has two larbours, Marina Piccola and Marina Grande (the main port of the island). Capri has twelve churches, seven museums and several monuments. The most visited attraction in Capri is the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto). It is a special cave, discovered in the 19th century by foreign tourists and has been a phenomenon ever since. On one side of the grotto are the remains of ancient Roman rock, with a narrow cavern.

What’s good to eat on Capri?
Nearly all restaurants on Capri serve typical island cuisine. An all-time favourite, which you’ll find on most menus, Capri’s ravioli is filled with cheese and marjoram and served with a tomato sauce. Accompany your meal with a glass or two of local wine and conclude with a shot of chilled limoncello. Despite the vicinity to the port, the water is always incredibly clean.
“See Naples and die”, they say: Blessed with beauty, wine and an unparalleled artistic legacy, Campania is magical
Blessed with beauty, wine and an unparalleled artistic legacy, Campania’s a region that largely lives up to its fame. Stretching along the Tyrrhenian Sea, from the mouth of the Garigliano River to the Gulf of Policastro, this region offers a mild, fantastic climate, immense beauty of the coasts, the richness of its art and history, and the love for food: this is a fantastic location for travellers, including the Gulf of Naples, Capri and Ischia, the Vesuvius, gloomy and mysterious, loved for its beauty and feared for its power. Sorrento, a town that spreads over a terrace of tuff, seems to tumble into the sea. Music and entertainment, sun and sea, history and culture: these are pivotal elements of this land, which poets claims to be the last sight somebody should experience before dyeing – “see Naples and die”. Paestum; Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Torre Annunziata, the Chartreuse of Padula, the Royal Palace of Caserta are all pieces of History and Art that, alone, are worth a visit.
